About the Event

The Clayton County Conservation Board will sponsor a fun day on the ice on Saturday, February 12th from 1:00-3:00.  Join us at Frenchtown County Park for a family fun day that is free to all.

Head over to the Mississippi backwaters to learn how to ice fish with the Clayton County naturalists. They will have gear to borrow, or you can bring your own. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Please Note: A fishing license is required for adults to handle a fishing rod, otherwise not needed for kids or for adults just watching during this event.

Gear is limited so registration is needed if you wish to borrow gear to ensure we have enough available. Call to register at the Osborne Nature Center 563-245-1516 or online at www.claytoncountyconservation.org/upcoming-events.

Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader. The center is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. For more information on events call 563-245-1516 or visit www.claytoncountyconservation.org.
