Clayton County Conservation invites all runners to the 3rd Annual Pony Hollow Trail 15K on November 6, 2021. This race will take you out and back on the scenic, flat, lime-chipped Pony Hollow Trail and the Elkader Exercise Trail. You will appreciate the beauty of this lime-chip trail as it meanders in the trees along the Turkey River and Robert’s Creek.

More race info to come...

The funds raised from this race will be used for future trail expansion efforts to join the two Pony Hollow trail heads into a continuous loop. Part of the funds have been secured through grant dollars (Wellmark Large Match Grant $100,000, Upper Mississippi Gaming Grant $48,375, TAP $192,000) but we need matching dollars to complete the project. Not a runner but still want to support this project? Donations can be accepted at Clayton County Conservation.

We are also looking for volunteers to help on race day. Email Molly mscherf@claytoncountyia.gov to volunteer.

The Welcome Center/Nature Center is open Mon-Sat 8-4, Sun 12-4.
The animal exhibit is open 8am-dusk
