About the Event
The Motor Motor 5K Trail Run began in 2016 as a way to highlight the beautiful hiking trails surrounding the Motor Mill Historic Site, and raise funds to help Clayton County Conservation complete special projects.
The race has helped fund hiking trails at Bloody Run County Park, new exhibits at the Osborne Nature Center, and major projects like the Motor Mill Trail which now hosts the 10K distance on race day. But more than that, it has helped build a community. Every year the race brings people together to celebrate one of the true gems of Northeast Iowa, and enjoy the spectacular views of the Turkey River valley in the heart of Iowa's "Driftless Area."
The 5K course will challenge even the most veteran trail runner, with almost 900' of elevation +/1 combining with rocky terrain for an unforgettable experience. The 10K course begins with a long, steady climb before…
