About the Event
Every year in September, the Monarch butterfly begins its long migration south to Mexico. To help document this migration, Osborne Park will collect, tag, and release monarch butterflies at Osborne Park. Join us for this fun adventure Friday, September 4th at 5:30 p.m. at the Osborne Nature Center.
The iconic Monarch butterfly has long been in peril, but there are signs of hope. The dedicated efforts of countless conservation organizations, as well as concerned citizens, has helped stave off their decline. Come and celebrate these amazing creatures with the tagging and release of live monarchs! Feel free to bring your own to be tagged, and be a part of this nationwide effort to save a species.
This program will be an open air event to help us stay safe and socially distanced.
