About the Event
Clayton County Conservation is fundraising for the “Nature All Around Us Mural Project” that was completed this spring at the Osborne Nature Center by artist Jordyn Brennen. A grant through the Iowa Arts Council provided part of the funding but matching funds are still needed. The first fundraising event will be a painting workshop at 6 p.m. on October 23rd at the Osborne Welcome Center.
The “Nature All Around Us Mural Project” is designed to inspire the imagination during educational programs and bring awareness and appreciation of art and nature to Osborne’s visitors. To achieve this goal,
Osborne Nature Center will host a series of nature and art inspired workshops. The first workshop will be “Painting with Abbey”. Participants will paint a rustic wildflower silhouette. The workshop is open to adults and teens. All art materials will be provided and participants will leave with a finished painting to take home. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and beverages to enjoy while they paint. Class size is limited to 12, so register early at www.claytoncountyconservation.org. or call 563-245-1516 to reserve a spot.
