Clayton County Conservation staff would like to thank our board members for
volunteering their time to make Clayton County a better place to live and
visit.

Tim
Engelhardt - Director
Tim began his career with the
Clayton County Conservation Board as a naturalist in 1991. In 1999, Tim was
hired as the director for the department and learned a lot during two major
flooding events that year. Tim enjoys the variety and challenges the
position offers, but mostly the people he works with and the visitors who
come through to enjoy the many activities offered in your Clayton County
Parks.

Marty Mulford - Operations Supervisor
For the last 19 years Marty has
worked with the Clayton County Conservation Board. Before coming to this
area he was a self-employed farmer raising cattle, pigs, corn and two kids.
Marty received his degree in Animal Science over twenty years ago from
Hawkeye Community College and before that he graduated from East Buchanan
High School in Buchanan County. Marty enjoys working in the outdoors and
hopes to stay in this area for many years to come.

Julie Brazell - Naturalist
Julie started at the Osborne
Center in the summer of 1993 working as a seasonal naturalist and a seasonal
maintenance worker while still in college. She graduated in 1994 from
Wartburg College with a degree in Biology and Environmental Studies. After
doing bird research in Missouri and working naturalist jobs at Custer State
Park in South Dakota, she came back to her roots at the Osborne Center in
2000, as a full time naturalist. She enjoys birding, studying birds, and teaching kids about
birds.

Angi Reid - Naturalist
Angi has worked within the
naturalist field for six years. She began her employment with the Clayton
County Conservation Board in 2004. She enjoys working in the outdoors and
learning from things she observes. Angi holds a degree in
Anthropology/Archaeology and teaching certification in Spanish. She
utilizes both of these degrees when dealing with children and critters at
the Osborne Center.

Harry Luster - Office Welcome
Center Manager
Harry
joined the Osborne staff in 2005. He enjoys welcoming visitors to the
center and assisting them with their traveling needs. He grew up in
Clayton County, but left to pursue a 24 year career with the Navy after
high school. After "seeing the world," he discovered that Clayton
County has as much to offer as any other scenic sites on the globe.

Joyce Schoulte - Secretary
After growing up in Emmet
County, Iowa, near Estherville and attending college at Iowa Lakes Community
College in Estherville and Mankato State University in Minnesota, Joyce came
to Garnavillo as a teacher. This is where Joyce met her husband Roger and
settled down to raise a family. As their children grew up, she did lots of
substitute teaching in the area schools. Joyce was also employed at
Garnavillo Community School as a study hall supervisor and elementary
library aide. In 1996 she became director of Shepherd of the Hills Ministry
in St. Olaf. In January 2002, Joyce accepted the part-time position of
secretary/receptionist at the office of the Clayton County Conservation
Board. The rest, as they say, is history.

Wally Reichstadter - Maintenance Technician
Wally was
born and raised in Chicago, IL. In 1968 he married his wife and together
they had 3 children. In 2001 they moved to Iowa where Wally’s wife could be
a pastor at St.
Sebald Church in Strawberry Point and St. Paul’s in Volga. With an
education in auto tech and years of experience fixing motors, switches and
lights, Wally makes the perfect handyman to have around the office.
Tucker Anderson- Special Operations
Park
Ranger

Tucker is our fulltime Park Ranger for Clayton County Conservation.Tucker
came to northeast Iowa from Monroe, Iowa. Tucker received his degree from University of
Northern Iowa and Hawkeye Community College. His main job duties will be patrolling and maintenance of our county parks. If you see him in the parks, please stop by and say hi.
